Day 1 Tangier – Fez .
Arrival in Tangier and departure to Fez (one of the 4 imperial cities). In Morocco, it is considered the religious and cultural center of the country. Its university, famous for the study of Arabic and the Muslim religion, is a point of passage for many Moroccan students. You will have time to walk around and get to know its different neighborhoods, the new area or Fès el-Jdid, where you will find the Mellah (the Jewish quarter), the Ville Nouvelle (New Town) French area in the northwest of the city and of course, Fez el-Bali, the old area, inside the walls. You can stroll through its streets and feel how it transports you to past worlds, where potters, smiths, craftsmen and donkeys loaded with goods from various origins, coexist with tourists who pass through its labyrinthine streets. Also famous for the souk of the tanners, you can be part of the craft process with medieval roots, by which they get those vivid colors to the leather. Overnight in hotel/riad.
Day 2 Fes -Ifran – Monkey Forest – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga desert:
Early start of the journey through the middle of the desert passing through Ifran, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco”, and Azrou. We will stop in the cedar forest to visit the Cedre Gouraud tree where you can see the Barbary monkeys. From here we will head south passing through several villages and on the way we will have the opportunity to see the nomads in tents. You will also be able to see the volcanic rocks typical of the area. Our next stop will be in Midelt where you can enjoy your lunch. Later, continuing on our way, we will cross the Tizi N’Talghomt pass (1907m), while enjoying incredible panoramic views. We will also cross the Ziz gorge and the tunnel. Near Errachidia, you will see the Hassan Al-Dakhil dam whose turquoise blue water makes it a landscape. We will continue our way to Erfoud, but before, we will stop to enjoy the magnificent panoramic views of the Palm of Aoufous, located along the Ziz river. Then we will arrive in Erfoud, crossing the track to reach the hotel located at the foot of the dunes, where we will leave our luggage. One of the best moments of the trip has arrived, you will enjoy a camel ride that will take you to the middle of the dunes, where you will spend the night in a nomad tent. The beautiful desert sunset and a dinner under the stars await you.
Day 3 Merzouga – Khamlia-Rissani – Erfoud – Midelt .
Breakfast and departure to Rissani. Where we will walk through what is known as the most authentic and traditional souk in the area and one of the largest in the south of the country, where all kinds of handicrafts, food and animals are traded. We continue to Erfoud, visit a fossil factory and continue to the city of pearls: Midalt. We cross the impressive Ziz Valley. What was originally just a river that timidly eroded the rock of the mountains, is today an immense palm grove over 20 kilometers long, with more than 18,000 palm trees Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 4 Midalt -Chafcuen .
Departure early in the morning to Chefchaouen, small and charming town located on the slopes of the Tisouka and Megou mountains of the Rif Mountains, which rise above the town like two horns, thus giving name to the city (Chefchaouen in Berber means: “look at the horns”). City with very little car traffic, where you breathe a clean and fresh air that invites you to stay to discover the beauty of the place and its surroundings. Accommodation in hotel or Riad.
Day 5 Chafchauen – Asilah -Tanger.
Breakfast at your hotel and departure to Tangier. Depending on the time of departure of your ferry/plane, you will visit the coastal city of Asilah: undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in northern Morocco, with its small medina characterized by blue houses and walls decorated with colorful drawings. We close the tour arriving in Tangier. Farewell and end of our services.
