Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate

Ait Ben Haddou is a “fortified city” or ksar. World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO in 1987 and where several famous films have been made (Lawrence of Arabia; The Jewel of the Nile, Kundun, The Mummy, Gladiator, Alexander the Great, Sahara, Kingdom of Heaven, Babel, Prince of Persia …).

Ouarzazate is also known as the gateway to the desert. There are some of the most important film studios in Morocco, for example the Atlas Studios where films such as Babel, The Man Who Wanted to be King, Lawrence of Arabia or some chapters of the series Game of Thrones have been filmed.
